A környezetvédelem napjává nyílvánitotta június 5-ikét a konferencia.

In 1970 the UN General Assembly decided to organise the first world
conference on environmental protection in 1972. Its official name was UN
Conference on the Human Environment. Sweden accepted to host the
Conference that was held between 5 and 16 June 1972 in Stockholm. Since that
time 5 June has become the World Environment Day.
